My mother and step-father were in town this past weekend, visiting and celebrating her birthday!
It was great and I could only wish 1- I had more time to spend with them; 2- they could stay longer (two months is not asking much, is it?).
They took the time to go to the local museum Wings Over the Rockies - which is located in the old Lowry Air Force base. My step-father, been an Air Force Veteran loved it! We also visited Colorado Springs for the first time. While the town looks like has a world of nothing to offer, we visited the gigantic Air Force Academy and stopped by the famous Garden of the Gods, which I found to be a little lame.
