Restaurant Week in Denver is always super fun! I had never before lived in a place that has this type of culture/event. It's about two weeks every year, a true celebration of the culinary scene in Denver. Participating restaurants will offer a multi-course dinner for the fixed price of $52.80 for two, or $26.40 for one (not including tax or gratuity). So, we try to use this opportunity to get to know new restaurants. A few weeks before, we received the issue of 5280: Best New Restaurants which helps us choose among the more than 300 restaurants that participate in the event.

Our first choice was cafe|bar in West Washington Park. The description in the magazine reminded me of Kitchen, in Boulder: American fare cooked with local and seasonal ingredients. And I was correct, as soon as we entered the place, there it was, the gigantic board with a list of the ingredients and where they come from, every single farm is listed.

The most impressive aspect of the restaurant is definitely the decor and ambiance. They have mixed rustic with mid-century modern furniture and the light fixtures are to die for. The atmosphere is wonderful, a lot of chatter, friends enjoying themselves everywhere. Even though this is a small space, it didn't feel crowed. The service was slow, Restaurant Week might have compromised the service a bit, there were plenty of people with reservations at 9 and 10pm! The food tasted amazing. We had the crab and roasted corn chowder and it was fantastic. The entré was roasted lamb ribs: phenomenal and the dessert was a let down, a blend panna cotta, it didn't take like anything. We will def. be back.

Happy Friday!

the weekend is finally here!

this week was a roller coaster! it started amazing! it was almost 70 degrees at some point, the sun was shinning and we are two very busy bees here at Move2Denver! but then my car broke down and I spent the rest of the time locked inside the apartment. and then we had a surprise snow storm.

I like to always make the best of what is happening, so while I was stuck at the house, I cleaned my bedroom, took everything out and put it back together, in different spots, re-arranging everything. it was a lot of work, but a lot of fun, too!

next week, I'm going to talk about the different Denver neighborhoods and what they have to offer. I believe it's going to be a fun series, that also I'll make me go and visit different spots in the city.

Have a great weekend!

Adele on Vogue

I'm obsessed with Adele. Clearly, I'm not the only one. The British singer is on the cover of Vogue (March Issue) and the images are just amazing!

You can check out the entire interview here!

Marni for H&M

One of the most awaited collaborations of all time, Marni will launch its special collection with H&M on March 8th! Never mind there is a countdown at home...

Here are the videos, with a sneak peak of the collection and the video directed by Sofia Coppola. There are also the first ads on fashion magazines everywhere!

Update: the images of the full lookbook were released. Here are my favorite pieces:

Triangle Garlands

Triangle garlands are everywhere! You can find them in parties, stores (hello, Anthropologie!) and home decor across the country! I dare say that triangle garlands are super IN right now! This weekend, we will be creating our own triangle garland for my office and my mother is working on yards of triangle garlands for her Etsy store! A how-to guide to make your own a triangle garland can be found here!

carnaval in Brazil

Carnaval in Brazil started on Thursday night. Depending on the location, started a long time ago. My heart is hurting, this year I'll not even have a taste of Carnaval, except for the online streaming of the parades. Last night, the feast started in Rio and we were able to watch about 4 hours of this beauty that's the most traditional Carnaval in Brazil. Here are a few images:
