Who is Jason Wu?

I was having a conversation with my boyfriend about the new Target designer collaboration with Jason Wu when he said:

"Who is Jason Wu?"

So, I answered him, everyone knows Jason Wu, and here is how:

Remember that amazing, one shoulder, gorgeous gown Michelle Obama wore in the inauguration of President Obama? Yes, that was created by Jason Wu.

One of the great things about the first lady is that she focuses on American designers and American brands on her wardrobe. Have you noticed how much J.Crew that woman wears?

The shocker this morning: @TargetStyle finally announces the designer collaboration for the Spring 2012 collection: Jason Wu.

Harper's Bazaar has a piece about the designer and the collection that comes out exactly on my 30th birthday! Isn't that already a great 30th birthday?!

It’s Friday! I had a very short week back from vacation, which is always very nice. Back in Denver, we worked hard to prepare for your annual corporate event that will take place next week. I’ll be out everyday, with guests from around the world, visiting nice restaurants and bars and participating on team building events as well as a trade show that will take place on Thursday and Friday at the Colorado Convention Center. There will be loads of performers from Brasil in the trade show and I’ll try to take pretty pictures and make some awesome videos.

On May 5^th the company is throwing a gigantic 5 de Mayo party in partnership with the Latino department and that should be memorable! I’m in the process of finding an appropriate business + 5 de mayo + South Beach-themed dress to participate. One of my co-workers suggested the website RenttheRunway.com and I found a few gorgeous Hervé Legér dresses there that would fit the theme very well. In this website, you can rent a designer dress for the day, you will receive two sizes of the same dress at home, to make sure you will look gorgeous, and a box to send everything back once you are done. Rentals range from $20 to $350 and a bandage dress from Legér, as an example, costs $1,700 - $2,600 in stores. So, depending on the occasion, especially if it is something you know you will not use a lot, it’s a totally worth experience.

They also have a weddings section, where you can rent jewelry, dresses, shoes, anything to be a gorgeous bridesmaid, without saving the hideous dress in your closed. Here are my favorites for the 5 de Mayo party:
