Urquidea - Holambra, SP

We visited this gorgeous store while in Holambra and I'll tell you, I could buy everything they were selling! They are an amazing combination of green house flower shop (the owner is a flower farmer) and country rustic furniture store.

The pieces they have are amazing and are all based on natural matierials (no plastics here), steel, wood, glass, ceramics. Here are a few pictures from Urquidea (which is a playful name for  orchid).

Loved this bench

Holambra, SP - Brasil

On our second day, we spent the morning visiting dear friends in Holambra, an old Dutch city in the state of São Paulo! Holambra's inhabitants are mostly from Holland and many of them still speak Dutch. They have plenty of Dutch restaurants and stores, acres of tulips plantation and super cute green house flower shops throughout the town.

We got to visit a farm with horses and a wild peacock and an amazing farm furniture and green house store that really deserves it's own post due to the amazing rustic style. We also stopped by the supermarket in town and shopped for food to bring back home!

Here are a few images of Holambra!

The largest wind mill in Latin America

I loved this table created out of the trunk of an old Paineira tree

The museum inside the wind mill had this awesome couch with embroidered leather cushions

Holambra has a alligator farm

Little old Dutch souvenir shops

This farm has a restaurant that was closed for the day, they also offer horse rides

My boyfriend loved the banana trees

Drinks with our lovely friends

The caipirinhas were delicious!

We had breakfast in this farm by the lake - gorgeous!
