Monday Music Inspiration

The Constellations is the band I'll be listening to this Monday morning.
It makes me want to get up and dance all day!

Happy Monday!

Happy weekend!

Have a happy weekend!

Here is to a colorful, sweet weekend for all of us!

Jason Wu for Target

I have to confess that I'm so excited about the Jason Wu collection for Target! I cannot wait for the launch, on Feb 5th and the few pieces that I could see online are TO DIE FOR! All of this around my birthday is just a great birthday treat!

Check out the image of this purse:

Amazing!

H&M Divided Art Spring 2012

The Holidays are finally over and here we are, back to work! I can sense that 2012 will be an amazing year, that has already started right: with lots of champagne and mimosas!

The beginning of this year is set to have amazing launches and new collections hitting stores: Jason Wu for Target on Feb 5th, the Spring Versace collection for H&M still in January and this beautiful H&M Divided Art collection, featuring five amazing designers - my favorite is clearly Alexis Anne Mackenzie, check out her cute t-shirts and tops below!

I got a few H&M gift cards as Christmas gifts and I'll be visiting the store soon to check out the new collections - so glad now we have H&M in Denver! Also, the new H&M store is set to open really close to home now in March!

Isn't it a great start to the New Year?
Happy 2012!

Christopher Hitchens - 1949 - 2011

We woke up this morning to the news that Christopher Hitchens has died at age 62 from complications from his esophageal cancer. Very sad news, since I believe the world is so in need of people like Christopher Hitchens and it's a big loss for all of us. Sometimes we just need people to speak their minds and speak about the truth not to be buried in the enormous amount of ignorant bullshit available everywhere.

I have always enjoyed Christopher Hitchens, be it from his books and articles - which people insist on calling polemic, I don't see why his words can be called polemic, he was very clear and rational to me - or from his TV appearances and interviews. I think, more than anything, Christopher Hitchens was a breath of fresh air in a world that's so consumed with stupidity and simplistic ideas of religion.

He was extremely entertaining, a true interesting man, with an incredible passion for writing and for enjoying the things he really liked - whiskey anyone?!

So, there are a few pieces in the news today about him I'd like to share with you - if you are interested:

cold, cold monday

We have not had a break here in Denver: since Wednesday we went through three snow storms and the temperature today is around 5 degrees! So, everyone is locked inside the house, enjoying some cuddling, cooking, movies and lots of work in between!

Last week, I decided to re-do our living room (I was guessing we would spend a lot of time inside), bringing this cute Ikea couch back, against the window, dressing it up with pillows and a blanket and creating a nice reading nook with plants and our guitars.

I'm in love with our new living room, it looks more spacious and the light that's coming in feels amazing! We also retired our green ombré rug and acquired a new West Elm Sisal rug that feels organic and matches the new space.

In the images here, I'm playing around with the Leme Cam app from my iPhone!
